Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre Mumbai, organised the 75th edition of "Fit India – Sundays on Cycle" at Bharat Petroleum Staff Housing Society, Azadnagar, Chembur, in collaboration with BPCL FitDivaz. The special edition celebrated Bharat's vision to host the Commonwealth Games 2030 while promoting fitness, cycling culture, women empowerment and community participation under the Fit India Movement.
The cycling rally commenced at 7:00 AM with enthusiastic participation from cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, youth and women participants from across Mumbai.
The event was graced by accomplished sportspersons and officials who lent significant prestige to the occasion.
International Table Tennis Player and Arjuna Awardee, who addressed participants on adopting an active lifestyle as a lifelong commitment.

The 75th edition of Sundays on Cycle carried special significance as it was held in the backdrop of India's confirmed hosting rights for the Commonwealth Games 2030. Ahmedabad — also known as Amdavad — was formally ratified as the host city for the Centenary Commonwealth Games at the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly in Glasgow in November 2025, with delegates from 74 Commonwealth member nations and territories approving the bid.
Officials highlighted that events like Sundays on Cycle align perfectly with the national sporting ambition underpinning the CWG 2030 preparations — building a culture of fitness, grassroots participation, and community-driven athletic engagement across the country.

The 2030 Commonwealth Games, also called the Centenary Commonwealth Games, will be held in Ahmedabad (Amdavad), Gujarat — marking the 100th anniversary of the Games. This will be only the second time India hosts the Commonwealth Games, following New Delhi 2010. The event is expected to feature 15–17 sports disciplines, with the full programme to be announced in due course.
